Playing Catch up and Some Really Big News

Well it has definitely been too long since our last post. So we'll see if I can catch us up.

I'll start with Heath. He is still loving his job. I asked a while back if he would ever consider getting a different job? His response no, I love my job, my co-workers, I am one lucky man to have found a job I enjoy everyday. For training Heath spent 3 weeks this past July in Florida in a hotel on the beach. Tobias and I visited half way through his stay as I have family who live in Florida, and we'd figure we'd kill two birds with one stone. We just celebrated another birthday for him unfortunately the day after I ended up sick, and spread my germs to everyone else in the apartment.

It is easier to show what Tobias has been up to. Boy has he grown!

This was October when we started braving standing not holding anything.

Heath was showing Tobias his Halloween costume they were practicing their roars.

We laugh often

He turned one and received many nice gifts. Before his birthday he was taking a few steps not 2 days after we were running everywhere.

The awesome cake I made him

He enjoys helping with chores

We love books, and received many for Christmas.

We love shoes as well, it doesn't matter who's shoes

Brushing our teeth together

Love eating bananas as they are soft on my incoming teeth

We love the park, but the slide is our favorite

Tend to sleep in weird positions

Helping out again

 I'm a cowboy!!

Like I said he truly enjoys reading

We've started seeing how he does on his own with a fork and spoon. He gave up today.

Tobias understands lots of things and has started talking recently. He loves animal sounds, especially dogs, and sheep sounds. He does tend to moo when he wants milk. He helps clean up the house and loves putting items in boxes. Which will help when it comes to packing for our move.

As for myself, early July I finished my master's exam, and after a few corrections I was finished with my Master's degree in Education! Exciting, but with finishing that up and caring for a baby I chose to not actively search for a full time job. As some of you may know come October as I was preparing my applications for any semester jobs or for the next year, I received a phone call from Leavenworth High School. They saw my application on the Kansas Jobs website and requested I placed an application with them as they had a position they were trying to fill. Needless to say after two interviews I got the job teaching sophomores and juniors Math Test Strategies. Basically a class to help students pass the state assessment.
I have had my 1st year struggles, classroom management, organization, etc, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and most of all the students. I never thought I'd do so well being the minority in the classroom, but the students and I get along well, most of the time. Most of all my co-workers are amazing, you'll hear more of the amazing things they have done for me later. They made me feel welcomed the moment I arrived, and have always been there when I needed assistance. All in all I love my job.

After I got the job Heath and I discussed taking the next step and buying a house between where we both work. We'll save the house hunting for another time.

THE REAL NEWS IS . . .

We're expecting!!!!! This is baby at 19 weeks.

This was today at 21 weeks

Here is my belly, tiny I know.

Baby is healthy and well, but we have been seeing a perinatologist with this pregnancy. The doctors are afraid I may already be thinning. So we are keeping a close eye on things. It just means many more sonograms to come. Now that this is out I can keep everyone up-to-date better. Sorry from here on out I'll try to keep post short.
